Hot Melt Adhesives
Hot melt adhesives are solvent-free, thermoplastic polymers used for quick bonding and gap filling. Commonly known as glue sticks, these adhesives cure physically instead of chemically and may require temperatures from 120 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit for application. Hot melt adhesives are a good choice where ventilation is a concern and for bonding dissimilar substrates. Hot melt glues should not be used on heat-sensitive surfaces where exposure to high temperatures causes the adhesive to melt.
